NETWOODS FOUNDATION

Netwoods Foundation decides to create a forest nursery with native species suitable for planting in the Colombian Caribbean region.

1

COLOMBIAN CARIBBEAN

The Caribbean region has one of the highest deforestation rates in the country, due to the expansion of the agricultural, livestock and mining frontier.

2

NATIVE SPECIES

We sow native species, typical of the ecosystem and threatened by the economic activities of the region.

3

DESTINATION

The sole purpose of the Turbaco Nursery seedlings is the conservation and restoration of ecosystems.

OUR SPECIES:

Matarratón, Ceiba, Samán, Plum and Almendrón

Actually we have
7,000 seedlings 70cm tall!

Our goal is to have more than 10,000 seedlings 1 meter high, which are ready to be planted in strategic locations.

HEALTHY

RECYCLING

VOLUNTEERS

In our nursery we strive to take care of the more than 8000 trees that we have for distribution on the coast of Colombia.

They are cared for with natural fertilizers, without chemicals and with great effort so that when they are planted they grow rapidly and can contribute to water conservation, animal shelter and erosion prevention.
